The county has a relatively small population with only one stop light and no cities. Surplus production is shipped by barge from the nations largest privately owned grain terminal which is visited by people from around the world. The small cemetaries and museums are popular for people digging into the counties history. Visitors can stay in a historic hotel and visit several sites on the national register. The three day heritage celebration is but one of many special events. Cabins and campgrounds are near hunting, fishing, and boating locations.
