Welcome to the Henderson County Supervisor of Assessments home page. My responsibilities are the coordination of countywide assessments, equalizing assessments, applying exemptions, serving as the Clerk of the Board of Review, and chairing the County Farmland Assessment Review Committee.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Assessment Office keeps and maintains a large amount of information to assist in the assessment process such as:
- Owner name and mailing address
- Property sales data
- Physical characteristics and general information on all buildings—square footage, age, condition, number of plumbing fixtures, photos and sketches
- Parcel maps
- Exemptions
- Farmland calculations
- Non-Homestead Exempt parcels
The Supervisor of Assessments Office is also responsible for overseeing the township assessors and reviewing their work in valuing real estate. The Assessment Office strives to equitably assess each parcel at the level prescribed by law.
