Fishing - Mississippi River Pools 18 & 19
New Boston,Illinois to Keokuk, Iowa. 73 miles. Walleye and Sauger in the spring.
Fishing - Big River State Forest
The State Forest offers three boat launching ramps on the Mississippi River. Bank fishing is also allowed. Among the fish most commonly found are crappie, bass, carp, buffalo, channel catfish, bluegill and bullhead. In the winter ice fishing is popular.
